Congratulations! You are taking the first step toward your new career. Your apprenticeship includes training on mechanical insulation, firestopping, asbestos and lead mitigation, noise reduction and specialty fabrication. You will earn while you learn and begin earning a paycheck from day one. As you complete each year’s requirements, you will receive a guaranteed wage increase. Our apprenticeship program also comes with health benefits, a pension and a retirement package. Best of all, since Insulators Local 50 and our signatory contractors pay for the training, it is provided at NO cost to you.

During the course of your apprenticeship you will receive:

•  A minimum of 720 hours of classroom instruction over 4 years

•  A minimum of 144 hours of classroom instruction per year

•  A minimum of 1,600 hours of on-the-job training per year
